E.A., "Ted" Doyle was born in Melbourne in 1892. He began his career as a journalist with the Southern Press Agency, and gained experience reporting Federal parliament for interstate and provincial newspapers. He served abroad during the First World War and became editor of the Australasian in 1937, and the Argus in 1942. After retirement in 1947, he continued in public relations work, and produced magazines for the Victorian Government and other public bodies. He was awarded an O.B.E. From 1947...
